Public Transportation:  This Is A Studio is conveniently located close to train and tram connections.

Tram No. 6 (Moreland to Glen Iris) will take you right to our door. Get off at Stop 38, Orrong Road.

Toorak Station is a 10 minute walk away from the studio. The Frankston line will take you there

Parking: Street parking is available along High Street all day. Clearway zone exists for morning and afternoon peak hours on alternate sides of the road. Please follow the street signs or ask our studio team

Can you help me edit my content?

Yes.

This Is A Studio has in-house audio and vision editors. We can create, edit, upload and stream any content you have for all platform requirements.  Need some simple cuts for socials, or a comprehensive episode edit, feel free to speak to our team to find out more.  Should you have your own editing team, you can simply take your recording from the studio and away you go

We will send you a time allocated unique code to access the front door and your studio

Our Podcast Studio uses the Rodecaster Pro II podcast recording console. Simply bring along a Mini SD card or Hard Drive (SSD 512mb or 1TB max) to save your recording (please ensure you have enough space for your session).

You won’t need to worry about this if you have the This Is A Studio team working on the post production of your content

Our studio sessions are booked to a tight schedule. If you are running late to a session please contact one of our staff as soon as possible so we can work with you to make any accommodations.

If you need a caffeine hit while you’re in we have several great coffee spots nearby all within walking distance from This Is A Studio

Lune Croissanterie  (835 High Street) Great for coffee, baked goods and more. Lune Croissanterie has recently opened in Prahran so you won’t have to deal with any of the crowds or lines associated with Lunes flagship store in Fitzroy.

Morning Market (579 High Street). Gourmet grocer that makes healthy sandwiches, salads and of course, great coffee! Our personal favorite.

The Sum Of Us (602 High Street Prahran). A Pilates studio which doubles as a small cafe. Great coffee and snacks, opens intermittently but when it does it's well worth the visit. Coffee, treats and yoga!

Danny’s IGA (706 High Street) If it's simply a Redbull or can of ‘V’ to get you through, Prahran IGA is next door at the intersection of Orrong Road and High Street. Suitable for late working hours in the studio, Danny’s is open 7:30am-8:30pm, 7 days a week.

Orrong Hotel Feeling something a little stronger.  Our local - The Orrong Hotel.  Whether it's their $20 express Lunch that never disappoints, or a few sips over happy hour, let us know and we’ll meet you there!

Our studio is equipped with door codes to allow you to do your best work any time of day.  Whether it’s 2am or 2pm, we can send you your unique door code for both the main door and the studio you have booked, giving you instant access to the space whenever you need it

Yes. 

Once your session is complete you will receive individual audio tracks for each guest as well a separate video file from the studio.  Please speak to our staff to find out how we can supply you with individual camera recordings and a program mix for video along with both stereo and multitrack recordings of the audio

Booked the studio for a day and need to head out, but don’t want to pack everything up?  No problem - every room is equipped with CCTV cameras ensuring safety of all our clients and their equipment.  Every door also has a unique lock code that will change per booking

This Is A Studio is equipped with installed lighting that comes part of the studio hire, as well as additional fixtures that can be booked.  Please speak to our staff regarding availability at the time of your booking

Yes.

Studio 1 is a completely white room, walls ceiling and floor with the addition of a 3m x 3m Green Screen, Blue Screen & Black Screen giving you complete flexibility in backdrop

50kg per bar - 2x 4m Rigging Bars available.

We also have heavy duty boom lighting stands on castor wheels.

Absolutely.  

This is a Studio has HDMI wall points to link both Studios as well as the common room TV.  There is also existing access for cable management through the roof should we need to customise a solution between both spaces

This Is A Studio is equipped with high speed WiFi as well as a network point in each Studio and the common area

We can accommodate some storage for all clients who have booked consecutive days.  We know bumping in and out is not ideal so we won’t make you do it if we can accommodate

Studio 2 is equipped with High Speed Internet and a TV at the end of the table making the remote guest feel like they are in the room with you.  Please speak to our friendly team to find out more about the options available

Absolutely! We would love to show you around. Let us know if you are recording a podcast, filming, setting up for photos, organizing a focus group or even a pop up activation. We will prepare the studio and organize a time to give you a tour. Let us know your coffee order and we even can have your drink of choice waiting for you!
